When a wooded parcel in Rocky Nook has to become a buildable house pad, or twenty years of scrub oak and greenbrier has swallowed the back acreage of a property in North Carver, you need a contractor with the machines and the permitting sorted — not a crew with chainsaws and a plan to burn the pile. NE Services has cleared lots, reclaimed overgrown parcels, and prepped sites across Plymouth County, the South Shore, and Cape Cod since 2012. We are a fully licensed and insured Massachusetts contractor running Topcon GPS-guided equipment, and because we self-perform the grading, drainage, and site prep that come next, your cleared lot does not sit waiting on another contractor’s calendar. Call 508-989-5667 for a free, no-obligation on-site estimate.
NE Services’ clearing crews work throughout Kingston and Rocky Nook, north along the Route 3 and Route 53 corridors into Duxbury, Marshfield, Pembroke, Hanover, Norwell, Scituate, and Hingham, and south through Plymouth, Manomet, Cedarville, Carver, Plympton, Lakeville, and Wareham to the Cape Cod Canal and Bourne. We also take calls across Bristol County and Cape Cod. See our full service area.
Most of this region sits on the Plymouth-Carver outwash plain — coarse glacial sand and gravel that drains fast and starts moving the moment you strip its cover. That is why we mulch in place wherever the job allows: the chip layer holds the sand down and suppresses regrowth instead of leaving you with a bare, erodible lot and a disposal bill. It also matters that a large share of parcels here have a wetland edge, vernal pool, or intermittent stream within a hundred feet, which puts vegetation removal under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and in front of your local Conservation Commission before a machine turns a wheel. We will tell you at the site visit which side of that line your project falls on.
One licensed crew, cleared through to graded.
Full lot clearing for new construction, selective clearing with preserved natural buffers, access road and fence line cuts, and overgrown pasture reclamation.
Brush, saplings, and small-diameter stems ground into a chip layer that stays on site — no debris trucks, no burn permit, and an immediate erosion blanket over exposed sand.
Stumps ground flush for pasture, trails, and view cuts, or root balls fully grubbed and hauled when a foundation, roadway, or septic field is going over that ground.
Straightforward process. Nothing priced sight unseen.
We come out and walk the parcel with you. We look at stem density, average trunk diameter, access from the road, where the wetland line is likely to run, and what the lot needs to become. Nothing goes on paper until we have seen the ground.
We tell you whether the parcel is a mulching job, a conventional clear-and-haul, or a mix of both, and why. Your scope spells out what comes down, what stays, whether stumps get ground or grubbed, and where the material ends up — with the price attached to each part of it.
Our crew clears and handles the material in the same visit: mulched in place, chipped, or hauled off with our own trucks. We work to any conditions in a Conservation Commission Order and stake the limit of work off your plan using GPS, so the clearing line is the actual clearing line.
We walk the site with you before we call it done. And because we self-perform site prep, excavation, and drainage, a cleared lot can move straight into grading without a second mobilisation or a second contractor’s schedule — which is usually where clearing projects lose their time.
Licensed. Self-performing. Set up for whatever comes next.
Fully licensed and insured for the work we perform, with municipal project experience for the Town of Kingston and the Town of Plymouth — where the schedule and the paperwork are both part of the deliverable.
Few contractors our size in southeastern Massachusetts run GPS machine control. On a clearing job it means staking the limit of work off your recorded plot plan without waiting on a survey crew — no over-clearing into a buffer zone, no paying to remobilise for the strip you missed.
Disposal is usually the single biggest variable in a clearing quote. Mulching removes it entirely, keeps the organic material working for your soil, and skips the burn permit. When material genuinely has to leave, we haul it with our own trucks rather than subbing it out.
Site prep, excavation, drainage, underground utilities, septic, stonework, and landscape installation are all in-house. One contractor, one number to call, and no gap between the day the lot is cleared and the day it gets graded.
Working Kingston, Duxbury, Marshfield, Pembroke, Plymouth, Carver, and Wareham week after week gives us a real read on how each Conservation Commission handles vegetation removal. We flag it early — before a crew is idling on site waiting for an answer.

We had NE Services replace our leaching field, it was not an easy job but they were so diligent and hard working (rain or shine). Our yard looks much better than it did before. We would absolutely use them again.Posted on Google Marian McCarthyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had the good fortune of calling Jimmy at NE Services. They have just transformed my front and backyard far better than I could imagine. I was dealing with strict guidelines and Jimmy understood what was required. He has an excellent crew including his brother John and they worked very hard all week during the blistering heat. They addressed every issue or request I had and they were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend NE Services. You will not regret it.Posted on Google Renee ThornleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We couldn’t be happier with the transformation of our property. What started as an overgrown, unusable area filled with large trees, brush, and uneven terrain has been turned into a beautiful, functional outdoor space. The crew handled everything from extensive site work and excavation to the construction of a stunning retaining wall and staircase, that is not only structurally impressive but also adds tremendous curb appeal to our home. Communication was excellent and the project was completed efficiently and on schedule. The before-and-after difference is remarkable, and we’ve received so many compliments from neighbors and visitors. If you’re looking for a company that delivers high-quality site work, excavation, retaining walls, and landscaping improvements, I highly recommend them. Their work exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely hire them again for future projects. N E Services is by far one of the best companies I have had the pleasure to work with in a very long time. They are extremely responsive and easy to get ahold of. Jim, the owner, actually answers his phone and will call you back immediately if he misses your call. Jim is an excellent communicator. He has come up with great ideas on the excavation project we are working on. N E Services is a well managed company with professional employees who actually care. It’s so refreshing to work with an excavation company with integrity and be throughly pleased too.Posted on Google Brendan FortinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We couldn’t be happier with the work NE Services did on our backyard! They built a 6-foot retaining wall that completely transformed the space, laid new sod throughout the yard, and added beautiful garden beds with fresh mulch around the property. From start to finish, the team was professional, friendly, and easy to work with. They showed up when they said they would, worked hard every day, and paid attention to all the little details. The finished project came out even better than we imagined. If you’re looking for a company that does quality work and genuinely cares about the end result, I highly recommend NE Services. We’d absolutely use them again for our future projects!Posted on Google Stephen CapuccioTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have used NE Services for two projects. The first was to design and install a patio with landscaping. The next project recently completed was to remove damaged trees and shrubs from the perimeter of our property and completely redesign the area. This included planting new trees, mulching and creating new borders. Jimmy’s knowledge of landscaping and his no nonsense approach to estimating both projects was refreshing. John and his crew did an excellent job on both of our projects. Their customer service and attention to detail exceeded out expectations. They communicated with us every step of the way to ensure we were happy with how the projects were progressing. We will use NE Services for future projects. We highly recommend them.Posted on Google Lindsey AlbaneseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We contacted NE services to see if it was possible to make a backyard behind our house for our young boys. We live up on a hill so we weren't sure if this was something that would even be possible since our backyard is basically a cliff. Jimmy, the owner of NE services had a vision and developed a plan for us. We trusted him and he greatly exceeded our expectations. The backyard created for us is incredible. They also made us a yard in front of our house and on the side which has completely changed the look of our house and made it much more curb appealing. He knew we were doing this for our young kids so he made sure everything would be safe for them which was very important to us. The team has blown us away with the work that they did. They built two beautiful retaining walls with stairs leading down on either side. They planted grass, laid down rocks, mulch and beautiful flowers. He even built my kids a sand box just because he wanted to which they love. Jimmy and his team brought so much knowledge and integrity to the job they did for us. They're a great, hard working crew who stand by their work and get the job done. Thank you NE services for giving our family a beautiful yard and most importantly making it possible for my kids to have an awesome childhood outside.Posted on Google Chonm DelaneyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently hired NE Services to tackle a major cleanup project on my property, and they absolutely crushed it! They removed 10 full truck loads of debris—everything from old brush, rocks, and junk that had piled up over the years. The crew worked efficiently and carefully, making sure nothing was damaged in the process. What impressed me most was how thorough they were. Not only did they haul everything away, but they also graded the area and spread fresh loam afterward, leaving the property looking clean, level, and ready for whatever comes next (grass seed, landscaping, you name it). The transformation was incredible! The team was professional, friendly, and respectful of my property the entire time. They showed up on time, worked hard, and left everything spotless. No mess, no damage, just outstanding results. I highly recommend NE Services for any debris removal, lot clearing, or landscaping prep work. They did an amazing job and I’ll definitely be calling them again for future projects. Top-notch service from start to finish! Thank you again!
Tell us the town, the rough acreage, and what the lot is going to become — a house pad, a pasture, a driveway, or just usable yard again. We will walk the property and give you a straight number before any work starts.
