Land Clearing & Forestry Mulching in Kingston, MA & the South Shore

When a wooded parcel in Rocky Nook has to become a buildable house pad, or twenty years of scrub oak and greenbrier has swallowed the back acreage of a property in North Carver, you need a contractor with the machines and the permitting sorted — not a crew with chainsaws and a plan to burn the pile. NE Services has cleared lots, reclaimed overgrown parcels, and prepped sites across Plymouth County, the South Shore, and Cape Cod since 2012. We are a fully licensed and insured Massachusetts contractor running Topcon GPS-guided equipment, and because we self-perform the grading, drainage, and site prep that come next, your cleared lot does not sit waiting on another contractor’s calendar. Land Clearing Across Kingston and Southeastern Massachusetts

NE Services’ clearing crews work throughout Kingston and Rocky Nook, north along the Route 3 and Route 53 corridors into Duxbury, Marshfield, Pembroke, Hanover, Norwell, Scituate, and Hingham, and south through Plymouth, Manomet, Cedarville, Carver, Plympton, Lakeville, and Wareham to the Cape Cod Canal and Bourne. We also take calls across Bristol County and Cape Cod. See our full service area.

Most of this region sits on the Plymouth-Carver outwash plain — coarse glacial sand and gravel that drains fast and starts moving the moment you strip its cover. That is why we mulch in place wherever the job allows: the chip layer holds the sand down and suppresses regrowth instead of leaving you with a bare, erodible lot and a disposal bill. It also matters that a large share of parcels here have a wetland edge, vernal pool, or intermittent stream within a hundred feet, which puts vegetation removal under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and in front of your local Conservation Commission before a machine turns a wheel. We will tell you at the site visit which side of that line your project falls on.

Clearing, Mulching & Stump Removal for South Shore Properties

One licensed crew, cleared through to graded.

Excavators and bulldozer excavating a large construction pit

Land Clearing

Full lot clearing for new construction, selective clearing with preserved natural buffers, access road and fence line cuts, and overgrown pasture reclamation.

Large site excavation with skid steer and excavator in sandy pit

Forestry Mulching

Brush, saplings, and small-diameter stems ground into a chip layer that stays on site — no debris trucks, no burn permit, and an immediate erosion blanket over exposed sand.

Excavator removing soil beside driveway during residential excavation

Stump Grinding & Removal

Stumps ground flush for pasture, trails, and view cuts, or root balls fully grubbed and hauled when a foundation, roadway, or septic field is going over that ground.

How It Works

Straightforward process. Nothing priced sight unseen.

Step 1 — Free On-Site Site Walk

We come out and walk the parcel with you. We look at stem density, average trunk diameter, access from the road, where the wetland line is likely to run, and what the lot needs to become. Nothing goes on paper until we have seen the ground.

Step 2 — Method & Scope, Priced Clearly

We tell you whether the parcel is a mulching job, a conventional clear-and-haul, or a mix of both, and why. Your scope spells out what comes down, what stays, whether stumps get ground or grubbed, and where the material ends up — with the price attached to each part of it.

Step 3 — Clearing & Debris Handling

Our crew clears and handles the material in the same visit: mulched in place, chipped, or hauled off with our own trucks. We work to any conditions in a Conservation Commission Order and stake the limit of work off your plan using GPS, so the clearing line is the actual clearing line.

Step 4 — Walkthrough & Handoff to Grade

We walk the site with you before we call it done. And because we self-perform site prep, excavation, and drainage, a cleared lot can move straight into grading without a second mobilisation or a second contractor’s schedule — which is usually where clearing projects lose their time.

The Land Clearing Crew South Shore Builders and Owners Call First

Licensed. Self-performing. Set up for whatever comes next.

Licensed & Insured Massachusetts Contractor

Fully licensed and insured for the work we perform, with municipal project experience for the Town of Kingston and the Town of Plymouth — where the schedule and the paperwork are both part of the deliverable.

Topcon GPS-Guided Equipment

Few contractors our size in southeastern Massachusetts run GPS machine control. On a clearing job it means staking the limit of work off your recorded plot plan without waiting on a survey crew — no over-clearing into a buffer zone, no paying to remobilise for the strip you missed.

Mulch in Place, Haul Only When You Have To

Disposal is usually the single biggest variable in a clearing quote. Mulching removes it entirely, keeps the organic material working for your soil, and skips the burn permit. When material genuinely has to leave, we haul it with our own trucks rather than subbing it out.

We Clear It and We Build It

Site prep, excavation, drainage, underground utilities, septic, stonework, and landscape installation are all in-house. One contractor, one number to call, and no gap between the day the lot is cleared and the day it gets graded.

We Know Which Parcels Trigger a Filing

Working Kingston, Duxbury, Marshfield, Pembroke, Plymouth, Carver, and Wareham week after week gives us a real read on how each Conservation Commission handles vegetation removal. We flag it early — before a crew is idling on site waiting for an answer.
